French Connection Hello Skirt

If you want to be the sexiest person at a party, wear this 'hello' skirt from French Connection. The yellow mini skirt features a faux suede finish with seam detailing. Its price tag is PS70, and it's available online now. Amanda Holden was spotted wearing it on Wednesday.

The British fashion retailer known as FCUK reported a slowdown in like-for-like retail sales in the 15 weeks to May 10. The London-based company, which gets about a quarter of its sales from North America, is cutting inventory levels, redesigning product ranges and making its buying teams more flexible.

It has been a tough few months for the company, which used to be one of the hottest brands in the U.S. It has been struggling to compete with fast-fashion brands such as Forever 21, H&M and Inditex's Zara. Its North American operations, a major source of revenue, have been particularly hard hit.

In the past, FCUK pushed its brand by The french connection hello ep running attention-grabbing marketing campaigns, such as projecting Eva Herzigova in a bust-enhancing bra onto Battersea power station. More recently, however, it has shifted its marketing focus to concept-driven "I am..." and "The collection is..." campaigns. Those efforts have not yet gained the same momentum.

While bonjour is the most common way to greet people, the French also use salut when they're on the phone. It is said in a rising tone, almost as if you are asking the other person a question. It is not meant to be sarcastic, and it's a common way for French people to answer the phone or leave a message.

Another common greeting is quoi de neuf?, which translates to something like, "How is it going?" It is super casual and you'll hear it a lot in movies. Bugs Bunny famously says it in the original version of Looney Tunes.

If you want to sound really French, say enchante (male) or enchantee (female). This is a way of saying that you're pleased to meet someone. It's also an old-fashioned and charming way to introduce yourself at a party or when meeting somebody new for the first time. This is also a more formal way to say hello than simply s'il vous plait (hello).
